‘Shine hair and beauty’ have celebrated more than a decade of success in the heart of Melbourne CBD. We are the first Korean specialty hair salon in Melbourne CBD with the opening of our first salon in the heart of Melbourne’s Chinatown. Six months later, our second salon opened near Hardware lane. We take pride in creating fantastic hair all these years and now we are looking for a talented and passionate salon manager to step into the leadership role of our two salons.

We are also looking for a junior salon assistant to join our creative team in Lt Lonsdale branch(306 Lt Lonsdale St)  

Salon manager role – A full time manager to look after the two branches(Exhibition branch(168 Exhibition St) & Lt Lonsdale branch (306 Lt Lonsdale St). This is the perfect role for someone who has already had a strong foundation in hair salon management. 

Your role :

Lead, support and develop the team members

Make sure the salon environment is professional

Set a sales target and Ensure KPI’s are met. Check staff performance

Ensure the salon’s operations work smoothly (dealing with complaints, solving maintenance issues, etc)

Stock management and ordering

Coordinate training programs for junior hairdressers and apprentice

Staff recruitment and rostering

Working on the floor as an all-rounder senior hairdresser

You must :

Be energetic, creative and motivated

Have exceptional customer service & communication skills

Have at least 3 years of experience as a hair salon manager

Know all business aspects of hair salon

Have experience in recruiting and inspiring team members and rostering the schedule

Be professional with all hairdressing skills including haircut, blow dry, colour(inc colour repair&ombre), permanent wave and styling

Able to understand Korean culture and language

Able to liaise with our associated hairdressing partner schools in Korea

What we offer : 

$55,000~ annual salary(negotiable) + Bonuses for your performance

Junior salon assistant role – A part time salon assistant to work at Lt Lonsdale branch (306 Lt Lonsdale St). 

Your role :

Help seniors with washing clients’ hair

Answer the phone

Make teas and coffee for clients

Clean the salon

You must :

Have interest or experience in hair salon industry

Have good work ethic, reliable and punctual

What we offer : 

Basic award salary depends on your age and experience + performance bonus

Training in salon every Thursday
